Finally nice weather

We finally have some nice days to play outside. Mary would live outside if she could. She's always much happier out there. I looked outside and saw how nice it was and said let's go outside. So, she runs over to the sliding door and says "side", which is her word for outside. Then she goes to the coat closet and says "jacket". She knows the routine to going outside. Then she went and got her shoes and sat on the carpet in front of the door and started to try to put them on. So we proceeded outside to have some fun. She discovered dirt and a stick and got all dirty. That's OK with me. It keeps her happy and let's me do things.
The new thing we did today was put on our own shoes, on the correct feet. Now, I don't know if she knows which foot is which, but they were on the right ones. She was able to slip her feet into the slip on shoes. It was pretty darn cute to watch her do it. I tried to help her but there was no way she was going to let me help her. Independance is comming!
