Icky Tummy

Ok, I'm come to realize I have pregnancy sickness. I'm not throwing up sick, but I'm constantly nauseous. It's REALLY annoying. I can't find anything to eat that settles my tummy. Thank god I'm not throwing up, but I think I'd feel better if I did. Kinda that feeling the morning after you drank too much, without the headache. So, I don't remember this with Mary, but I realize I don't remember much with her anyway. BUT, maybe this means it's a boy. = ) Let's hope!!

need sleep

Ok, I'm going to complain for a moment. I NEED SLEEP. I forgot how rough the first few months of pregnancy was. Mary doesn't understand what 's going on and doesn't know she needs to give me a break. And then there's Kevin, who knows what it's like, but continues to snore in my face at night.
Ok, so we got a futon bed for the office. Not for HIM to go sleep on, but for me. So, I went in there last night, but he was snoring so loud I was still awake. So, at that point there was no hope for sleep.
I guess I'll make up for my sleep about 30 years from now. Isn't that how it goes?

We love bean and cheese burritos

I've been craving Mexican food, refried beans since I've been prego. But not out the the can ones. Anyway, the past two days I've stopped at Del Taco on the way home from walking to get a bean and cheese burrito. Well, I gave Mary a bite yesterday and she loved it. SO, today I got two burritos and gave her one. She wasn't quite able to bite the burrito but wanted to eat the insides. So, I pulled the insides out and put them on her tray and gave her a fork. She was all good then. So, we're both getting our fix of pinto beans. Well, she is Pinto anyway.

This baby is making me fat

OK, yes, I've only been pregnant for a little over 6 weeks now. BUT, I can't stop eating. It may be boredom eating, but I never seem full or satisfied with what I eat. I have no energy to do things so I watch TV or sit on the floor with Mary. But then there are food commercials. And I want it ALL, OK, most of it. I didn't have any real cravings with Mary. I did like my hot fudge sundaes from McDonald's with her. I've been really wanting some real Mexican food, re fried beans specifically, but have not gotten any yet. So I'm making pork burritos tonight with canned re friend beans. Canned is better than none, right?! Let's hope. Then I saw a commercial for guacamole and then I wanted that. If I was really mean I'd make Kevin stop at the store on his way home and get some, but I won't. I really don't want to gain too much weight int he pregnancy. Really trying, but I'm eating for two. OK, I don't want to use that excuse. But, I always have been 'chunky' and always will be. I will just deal.

Moms Just Want To Have Fun!

These are some of my girls, my walking girls. They help me keep my sanity with motherhood and life. We belong to Stroller Strides, a moms walking group. We walk each morning and work out together. Great way to get outa the house and be with others who have kids. The best part is to be around others who you don't have to talk kid talk to.
So, we try to have a mom's night once a month w/out the kids. Great way to relax and have some fun. Yesterday we met at the mall for some shopping at Victoria Secrets. Since my boobs will be changing w/in the next 8 months I did not buy a bra. I bought some eye liner to make myself feel pretty. Then we were off to Sicily's for dinner. Well, they drank while I had a Shirley Temple. It was one darn good drink, NOT! But when I can drink again, we're going out drinking. Until then they just have to deal with pregnant me. I don't think I'm that bad. Kevin may not agree. OH WELL!

Over A Week Late

Well, we started "trying" to get prego last month. We didn't think it happened. So, a day before we left for Mexico I took a pregnancy test. It said NO, so I went and had some fun. I was supposed to get my monthly cycle at that time. Well, it never came. So, we came home on Sunday and I had Kevin stop at Walmart on the way home to buy a test. Took the test that night. Sure enough, I'm pregnant.
So, I went to the doc today to make it official. I'm 5 weeks along and due December 11th. Hopefully it will be on time so we don't have a xmas baby. I was trying to prevent that, but we're too fertile people.
So, Mary will be a big sister by the end of the year. Will she have a little brother or a sister?????

We're back and all are tan!

This was how poor Mary looked on our first leg of the trip. Luckily we left right about her nap time so she went to sleep for a little bit. It takes us about 5 hours to get to the boarder with one stop in between. So, needless to say she was a bit antsy to get outa that chair. But she did good. She was not so happy on the way home, but she made it.

Anyway, so we left on Thursday about noon. Met up with Jim and Elaine at Walmart and we were on our way. LONG drive down to Calexico. Made it there about 5 to the camp ground for our first night. We all fell out of our motor homes and made ourselves a drink to relax. Then it was off to MiMi's for dinner and then to bed.

Up at 5:30 to cross the boarder. YAH we made it! Now another 2 1/2 hours to San Felipe. Mary was a trooper as we drove our way into the heat. We made it to town about 9. Now time to wait for the beer store to open. They are not allowed to sell beer anywhere in town until 10, so we wait. Mom and I take the jeep to go buy 'drugs'. OK, we just buy amoxacilin, but it's the running joke. Now back to meet up with the rest and off to the house. Finally make it to our destination about 11:30 and start to unpack and sit and relax! Let's start the fun!

Morning number one. We wake up and the tide is out super far. So, we take Mary out to play in the sand and water. She loved it, of course! Every morning from then on she's wake up and say "sand, beach, FUN!" It was so cute.
Oh, we are having fun here! Mom and dad have the buggy and so we can't all fit in it. SO, dad bought a cool jeep for my mom and we got to tow it behind our motor home for us to play in. So, here is Mary in her car seat taking a ride int he jeep. She loved the bouncing. When we'd stop she's say "bounce more" So cute.
Mary got a bath each night in a bucket. She took a bath while we showered around her. She thought it was great.
Kevin does not look to happy here because he's thinking about how he has to pack up all our crap the next day. It is and was a sad thought.

We took a day trip down the puertocitos, which is about 40 miles from the house. On the way was this bar in the middle of no where. Outside of it was this car. So, we had to take a picture in it. BUT, the bar was not open. We made ourselves at home, of course. Actually every time we go by this place it's NEVER open, but it's always stocked with toilet paper and soap. Someone is taking care of it at some point.

So all in all it was a great trip. Mary was a good girl and had a great time. She didn't get sun burnt and actually got a little farmers tan. I got my usual tan, DARK, and Kevin is not so white any more. Another fun trip down. We'll see what next year brings us, since there may be a new addition in the group next year. We'll see.

Ok, I'm all packed and ready to go. Motor home is all set. Now to sit and wait for 11:30 tomorrow to roll around to roll outta here. I'm super impatient. Once I"m done, I"m ready. So, now to finish the day, try to sleep, get up and get dressed, go back to the motor home and wait for time to leave. I think I'll need some wine to help me through this.
So, anyway, off we go tomorrow for 10 days of fun in the sun and sand. I will come back with lots of pictures and stories to share. See you then!!!

the correct way to use a potty seat

So, we are still starting the potty training process. I bought her this potty seat to put on top of the big potty seat. This way she can sit on the big potty just like us. I sit her on it once or twice a day to see if anything will happen. Nothing yet, but she enjoys sitting there.
So, the other day she came out of the bathroom with the potty on her head like a hat. Of course I told her that's not how that works, but she thought it was pretty silly. It does fit perfectly on her cute little head. Luckily it's still pretty clean since she has not done anything in it. But, not that I want her to get in the habit of wearing it as a hat. So, I scrub her hair a little more on the day she wears her potty hat.
