Being Thankful 2009

The Thanksgiving fun began bright and early Thanksgiving day. We were off to Paso Robles with the motorhome for a weekend of camping. We were up bright and early to get over to mom's to get in the motorhome and be on our way. 3 hours or so later we were there. Dropped off the motorhomes and change clothes and got on our way to Morro Bay to Kevin's brother's house for family fun. It was a beautiful day in Morro bay. We say outside and enjoyed ourselves.

Ping pong was played in the garage and walks to the beach was done.

Mom bowling on the WII. She was hooked and now wants one of her own.
Then there was rocking and singing on the WII. We were quite the family site to see.Mary enjoyed spending time with family. She stayed the night with her aunt and uncle for two nights. Teresa stayed with us. I think she enjoyed her no sister time. No one was poking at her or taking her toys. Jim (Jimmy, on the left) was visiting before he is being shipped off to Iraq for a year. We enjoyed seeing him before he left. Steven (on the right) will be leaving us for New Mexico to be with his girlfriend and daughter. We were glad to spend time with him, as well, before he left. It was so nice to have everyone together.
After all the fun family time we were on our way back to the motorhome for our wine weekend. It was REALLY cold, for us Californians who don't get that kinda weather. But it didn't stop us from wine tasting. We wen to a privite tour at a family winery. It was at their actual house. We got to taste right from the barrels. It was awesome. It's fun to do something different each time we go up there. Otherwise we end up going to the same 5 wineries. But we love those 5 wineries.
So, it was a fun weekend. Another Thanksgiving down. Now off to Teresa's first birthday and Christmas. More fun things to come!!

3 months of the gym

Well I've been a the gym for a good three months now. I started my trainer on September 1st and she did her measurements then. Today she did them again. I have not lost any weight, which is fine, but I've lost a total of 10.25 inches overall. And I've lost 7% body fast. It's all paying off. Makes me happy and able to go forward and do more!!

The Holidays Begin

The way our schedule is, we decided to bring down the Christmas stuff now, before we left for Thanksgiving. While I was out getting my hair done, Kevin and the girls set up the tree and pulled out all the dancing animals. Teresa loves all the dancing stuff. She stands up and shakes her booty when they play. It's pretty cute. I feel bad for taking it all out before Teresa's birthday, but her birthday is a week and a half before Christmas. So, she'll just have to learn her birthday decorations are Christmas ones. Ok, I'll pull out a Happy Birthday sign for her when it gets closer. = )
SO, for us this year, Christmas starts before Thanksgiving. HO HO HO HO!

Almost A Year = (

Today Teresa turns 11 months old. Yes, that's right, ELEVEN MONTHS. I can't believe how time has flown by. Last time this year I was stressing over maybe being in labor at Christmas time. Doing everything I could to get her out anytime before, which worked somehow. Now she's walking, when she wants to, and being the cutest thing around. = ) She is so much fun to be around. I'm so sad to see her grow so fast. But she gets cute every day. So I get to look forward to that. She weighs 23 pounds and is 30 inches long. She already wears size 18 month clothes. We have six teeth and are working on more. We like to feed ourself. She gets really pissed off when you try to feed her something on a spoon. I love her so.

crawling is better, but................

Well, as of Thursday Teresa took 12 steps on her own! I set her down and turned my head for a moment and all of a sudden she was taking one step at a time. I started to count and just be quiet and watched. Soon it was 12! Then her sister got in the way and wanted to help and that was the end of that. She would still prefer to crawl. She can get places a lot faster that way, but she can do it if she tries. YEAH!!!

New Mission/Goal

Today my best friend, that I have known since I was 4, called me. She is getting married next October and she asked me to be her, one any only, bridesmaid/matrin of honor. I am so honored and excited. So, my new goal/mission at the gym is to look good in a dress. Of course, not better than her, but good. I have 11 months. I think it's a reachable goal. First I have to get this house healthy so I can get back to the gym, but it WILL happen.

So, until October, here's to fun wedding planning, wedding showers, and good times to/with Corie!!!

Where Oh Where Has Normal Life Gone

Ok, I know I won't have a 'normal' life for another 20 years, but I'm just looking for my normal life I had a month ago. Ever since we got back from our trip to Zion the kids have been sick. I've been stuck at home with two sick kids for three weeks now. Started out slow and now it's coughing and stuffy/runny noses. Thankfully I have not gotten it, but I'm sure it will come when they are finally well. One of these days I'll get back to the gym on a normal day and see my trainer again.
Well, $160 in co-pays later, the kids are sick. I knew that since they were not getting better. Now they are both on Amox and Mary has an enhailer as well. I hope this brings my life back around.

Halloween Fun 2009

This year we stared our Halloween off with my parents third annual Halloween party on Friday night. This year I was going as a blue witch, the only thing left in my size at Walmart, on Thursday before Halloween. Kevin was actually NOT going as Homer Simpson this year. He went as a drag queen. It was pretty funny. He made a good woman. I think he was the hit of the party. Mary wore her Tinkerbell outfit and Teresa as her monkey. Teresa went down a little bit after the party started and Mary stayed up for a while. There was another little girl there to entertain each other, thank god. It was a fun night, from what I remember.
Actual Halloween night I was sick and Teresa wasn't feeling too well either. So, Kevin took Mary out for a bit. We had another costume for her so she wore that one for that night. Our neighbors gave it to her before they moved. It was snow white. They went out to a friend's house that Kevin works with. He does his house up all haunted house like for Halloween. Mary did NOT like it. She told Kevin she did NOT want to go back there. She got lots of good candy. She will not leave the candy alone. She just want to look at it and play with it all the time.
