Doc Apt

Well, it is official, we will have a Christmas baby. The doctor today said that after the radiologist read the ultrasound that the due date is December 24th. 24th, 26th, either way it's a Christmas baby. So, I'm only 10 weeks along. She said that all my tests came back normal and the baby is fine. So, all in all, it's all good. We will try and find out what sex the baby is this time. We won't be able to until the next ultrasound which is about 20 weeks. So, the begining of August sometime. Hopefully it will cooperate and let us see.

poopy play

So, I'm sitting at the computer and Mary is in the living room. They are only across the room. I smell a stinky smell. I think to myself "I have not farted". So I turn around and look at Mary. She has her hand down the front of her pants as far as she can get. She's playing with her poop. I go over to her and it's all over her clothes and hands and the back side of her. What a poopy mess. I have to strip her of her poopy clothes and stick her in the sink to rinse her off. We get a clean diaper on and now to inspect my living room. Luckily there was only a mess on my glass coffee table. I can clean that up. Thankfully it was not on my couch or anything else. I thought we might be through the play with my poop stage, but I guess not.

shoping adventure

Today Mary and I went shopping at Ikea with mom today. It's always an adventure to go shopping withe Mary. She at this age where she does not want to sit in the stroller for too long or in a cart or be held. She just wants to go go go on her own. So, I bought a kid leash. I used to see them on other kids and think they were cruel. Well, I understand why they have them now. So, I put it on the little darling. She didn't quite understand what was going on. While we walked she was 'ok', but when I would stop she would fall down. It was quite embarrassing since there were a lot of people around and here I am with my kid on a leash and she keeps falling down. So, we will need to work on this new feature.

Our Own Play Ground

We are lucky to have friends with kids grown up that do not have a need for young play stuff. Thankfully they are willing to hand down all this fun stuff for Mary. Since we do not have enough room at our house it gets split up between ours and mom and dad's. They have the room, of course. But we took the swing set. She loves to play on all that fun stuff at the park. So, now we have our own park at home!

Summer time fun!!

We decided to let Mary play in her pool and do a little naked swimming. SHe thought it was super fun. She liked letting the water run over her naked body, especially over her privates. haha Such a cute naked thing.

quick explination

Ok, Kevin tells me that I talk about drinking on my blog too much. I don't see it, but maybe I do. So, I just want to say that we are not drunks, just like to have a good time. During this pregnancy I'm just going to miss being able to have the option to have a glass of wine to relax, not get drunk.

1st Ultrasound

Today was my first ultrasound. I had to drink 32 oz of water and hold it for an hour. WELL, it was not fun. SO, they looked inside and saw baby vino and all my girlie parts are working. From all the measurements they took and what the computer configures says that I'm only 7 weeks and 5 days along, not 10. THEN my new due date would be DECEMBER 26th. CRAP, I didn't want a Christmas baby. So, we shall see what the doc says in two weeks after they see the results. But, it is a long ways to December, so who knows what will happen between here and now and what the due date will end up. All I know is that this baby will arrive in December sometime. It seems so far away. Drinking trips are being planned and I can't join in. = ( But, I will have a new little one to enjoy at the end. I just have to keep thinking that.

Mother's Day Weekend

Well, it wasn't the best. We went camping up in Paso Robles with my parents. A weekend of camping and wine tasting. I was the sober one, along with Mary. I could have stayed home and done the same thing as there. I got to chase Mary around while they drank wine. It really wasn't relaxing. This is going to be one long 7 months.

A New Summer Look

So, I don't have a picture of it, but I got a hair cut. I went to my good friend Diane for my normal color day and walked out with a whole new look. I have let my hair grow for the past year or so and was tired of it. I have such thin hair that once it gets past my shoulders it won't do anything, so I said good bye to it. I told her to have fun, and she did. It's the new short style of shorter in the back and then longer in the front. It's cute and really easy to fix. I need something easy to fix. I'm so used to being able to just put it up in a pony when I get up. And Mary really doesn't give me the time to sit and fix my hair AND make-up. Usually I get to look good in one department. Hopefully now I can prepare both in one day.
Tomorrow we leave for a camping weekend up in Paso Robles. We had planned this trip prior to me being pregnant. WELL, wine tasting is not going to be any fun for me now. Plus I'm super tired these days and running in and out of wineries, I can't taste at, will not be very much fun either. SOOOO, I get to be the designated driver and entertainer of Mary all weekend. OH JOY! Not really my idea of a fab mother's day. BUT, I will get my revenge in December when I can drink again.
I'm 9 weeks pregnant today. It already feel like eternity since I found out. I already wants this to be over, or at least have my energy back and make it past 10AM. But anyway, I will stop complaining to you. Hopefully this weekend will be more fun than I am expecting. So, until then I hope all you mom's have a great weekend!

awwww a clean house

So, for the past three years I've gotten my own personal house cleaner for my mother's day present. This house cleaner is my mom. I'm not sure what gene she has, that I don't, but she can clean a house like no other. I can get the surface done, but she gets the dirt in the cracks that you don't even know are there. Kevin always wonders why I don't carry this gene. Well, I can't have them all.
So, she arrived today about 9. I was off walking with my group. I came home to a good smelling house and she's scrubbing away at my dirty shower. It's 4:10 in the afternoon now, and she's still here on her hands and knees picking at my tile floor.
I"m grateful she is willing to come clean like this for me. Let's hope she'll be able to do this for years to come, or else I've gotta get a job to pay for someone to come do this. This is not my line of work, Kevin will agree.

We're on the way baby!

Today I'm 8 weeks along. I went to my first baby doctor apt. This one isn't very exciting. They just poke at you and take blood and paperwork. Everything looks good though. I have the first ultrasound in two weeks. The fun one where you have to drink 32 oz of water and hold it for two hours so they can look at my uterus. NOT FUN! But then you get to see the baby after that. So, that's fun.
So, off to letting vino bambino grow into it's own little person!
