I'M NOT TIRED!!!!!!!!!

Today Kevin and Mary had a day together and went to Magic Mountain. This was Mary's first time to any sort of amusement park of any kind. They had a blast. Mary rode on Thomas The Train roller coaster all by herself and the Tweety Bird Cage. Those two had a high requirement and also a height limit. Well, Kevin well exceed dthe high limits. haha So, she had to ride alone on those. Others he rode with her. She wasn't scared to ride alone at all. Such a big girl.
The Thomas The Train ride
They rode the carousel together, twice. That was fun for both of them.

This was the only character she went to and was NOT happy about taking her picture with him. She is not up on the Warner Brother characters.
This is the Tweety Bird Cage ride she did all by herself. Could you see Kevin trying to fit in that one??? HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the poor thing on the way home. I picked them up and as she got in the car she said 'I'm NOT tire', in a really winey voice. So I told her, ok, then don't go to sleep. Well, she was asleep before the light turned green. haha We got home and I tried to put her in bed, but she woke up and yelled 'I"M NOT TIRED'. Well, there's no way she was not taking a nap with that attitude. So, she yelled for about 15 minutes and then was conked out. She had fun and didn't want to stop. Kevin and Mary will have to go do a daddy/Mary day again there soon.

WW this week

Ok, so my plan for wine tasting to keep on track didn't work out so well. I said I'd drink a bottle of water in between each winery. WELL, I drank one between winery #1 and #2. After that it was mostly wine. So, when we got home I drank water like it was going out of style. Today was weigh in day. Well, I didn't gain! I only lost .2 pounds, whatever that is. I think that was the little bit I peed out before I left. Hey, it's not a gain, so it's a win. Just like when you push at the blackjack table. Today's meeting was about staying on track and being motivated. That got me a bit motivated to do something this week. I came home and did my ww work out video. The good thing about working out is that you gain more points so you can eat/drink more. Works for me. I am going to try to do it with Mary this week. See what she thinks of that. I think she may have fun trying to do it with me. We shall see if this will be more trouble than it's worth. Wish me luck!!!

Memorial Wine Fun

Sunday morning, bright and early, we left for the wine country for some wine tasting fun. Corie joined us for the adventure. She is a Paso Robles virgin, so we had to break her in. Dad came to pick up the girls at 7 and then we were outa here by 7:30. Our first stop, Tobin James, the first winery you can get to. We got some great tastes and began to feel 'happy'.
Next was off to Penmann. We love going there mostly because they always have great food out to eat while you are drinking wine, and the company. We love Beth and Rosie. They had a couple flies in the room, so Corie was trying to help kill them. Kevin killed one, which got us a free bottle of wine. What a deal.

Next we were off to Christian Lazo for more wine tasting fun.
Then it was off to Rabbit Ridge, where Corie got a little bunny silly.
Then it was back to town to check into the hotel. We were staying at the Paso Robles Inn, right down town. So we could then walk around down town and go to wineries there and eat. Safe walking, and no drinking and driving. Well, we took advantage of that a bit that night. None of us woke up feeling too hot. It's not wise to mix beer, wine, and mai tais. Just as some advice for all of you. But we had fun, from what I remember.
The next day, since we were moving so slow, we headed out late and only planned to go to two wineries. The first one we all looked quite pale. Even the taster felt bad for us. We got the wine down, and then started to feel better.
Corie said we had to go to a new winery we had never been to, since she was on the trip. So, we did. We went to Pear Valley. Two people told Kevin about this place, so we went. What a beautiful place, and good wine. We will definitely go back and bring people with us.
Then we were feeling much better and thought another winery was in the works. We had to go to the campground first to get a coupon for the next winery. We stay at the campground when we come in September and November, for Thanksgiving. So, we got our coupon and it was off to Sylvester to pick up our box wine. By this time it was getting to be lunch time. We had only planned on the two wineries so we didn't pack our lunch. Luckily they were selling fresh Paninis, so we ordered three. At this winery there are some old travel trains to look at, so while we were waiting for our food we went and looked around. It was fun to see how people use to travel. Well, I guess you can still travel like this somewhere. (Corie has those pictures so when I get one I'll add it to the blog)
So, we got our Paninis and we were off to JLohr to eat our lunch and our last wine tasting. Then it was back to the hotel to sit by the pool and enjoy the nice day. We had dinner downtown and were in bed early. We all woke up MUCH better the next day. Which was good because we were driving home. And both Kevin and Corie had to go straight to work. And I had to go pick up the girls. SO, it was good we didn't tear it up that night. But it was a super fun trip.

4 Weeks of Weight Watchers

Well, today I am down another 1.8 pounds to make a total of 7.6! I drink water like it's going outa style and I think that really helps. We talked about the holiday weekend today in class, and how to stay on track. Well, I told them I was going wine tasting this weekend. They all made a groaning sound. A sound they wish they were too, and a sound they felt bad because it will be hard to stay on track there. Well, I have a plan. We shall see how well it works in the end. I plan to only taste the wines I want to and drink a bottle of water in between each winery. Just gotta give myself time to soak it in and feel good and then flush it all out. I think I can, I think I can. Oh, wait, but then there's the food. Ok, that part may be a little tougher. There is this one place we go to that has cheese and bread and yummy dipping sauces. Well, I'm sorry, but I"m not going to not eat it. I'm going to enjoy myself. I will just starve myself from when we get back until weigh in again. haha!
Dad is coming to pick up the girls about 7am and then we are off for some fun. Two nights of fun! I hope Teresa is a good girl for them. She's not too keen on being away from me and her routine. I feel I may need to buy them some recouping wine for when we get back.
Oh well! Off for some fun!

catching up

Well It's been a bit since I posted something. Nothing really exciting to post has gone on. I've been given a lot of Mary free time thanks to mom and my aunt. Thank god for family. Mary loves her time with others. It gives me quality time with Teresa and her alone time as well. Other than that normal life has been going on. Here are some random pictures I've taken the last day or so.

Teresa looks scared as to what her sister may do to her.

Me and my girls relaxing after a long day of fun.

5 Months and Becoming Catholic

Sunday Teresa turned 5 months old and became a Catholic all at once. We had her baptized. She looked so darn cute in her outfit and was the best baby there. She wore the same dress Mary did and Amy and I did when we were baptized. Hopefully one day their kids will wear it for their baptism too.

Kevin's nephew's daughter, Kiah, was baptized at the same time. We figured we'd get two birds with one stone with that one. Kevin's sister, Linda, and her husband are Teresa's godparents, and Kiah's grandparents, so we had the after party at their house. They live just a couple blocks from the church, so that made sense as well. We had a beautiful day celebrating with friends and family.

Week 3

Well, I've made it to a total of 5.8 pounds in three weeks!! Today we talked about metabolism and how it works and how to make it work better. Well, I guess I have to start some sorta working out, besides chasing Mary. Maybe if I do that then I'll loose more faster. I"ll give it a try and see what happens next week. But if I keep moving at this pace I"ll be happy too. Although next Sunday we're going to Paso for wine tasting, so we shall see how well that helps me out. Oh well, gotta have some fun.

Just a good time

Last night was a night of fun with Amy, Corie, and Brent. It was our little time to drink and have fun before the wedding, since I won't be going to Cabo for it. SO, we needed a night of drinking margaritas. Brent is Amy's good friend and he was willing to be our designated driver. Mom and Dad were going to watch the girls while we did this.

Mom came to pick the girls and I up at 5 from our house, so Brent could drive me home after. Brent came driving up in his cool red convertible BMW. We were going to be riding in style. Of course we had to have the top down. So, we piled in, Amy in her scarf so she did not ruin her hair. Off we went to go pick up Corie and then off to the restaurant. We get our huge margaritas and start to get a little silly. Amy knew the bartender, so he made us good drinks and gave us a free shot. Amy was pretty looped, which was why we came out. Corie and I were feeling good, but not as silly as her.

On the way home, top down of course, freezing our butts off, Amy and I were in the back singing at the top of our lungs No Doubt. It was just like being in the dune buggy. SO much fun.
Oh, Brent gave Amy and Snuggie as a gift. SO, I was wrapped int he snuggie in the back seat. Again, pretty funny.
So, I'm going to miss all the drunken days/nights in Cabo for the wedding, but this was a good substitute.

Mother's sday

Mother's day was fun. In the morning the girls and I went down to visit my grandma down in the facility where she lives. We stayed for a brunch and then went home. Mom, dad, Matt and Amy joined us too.

Later in the afternoon we went over to mom's for a bbq. Hung out in the front yard in the wonderful weather. Gotta love southern California. It was a fun mother's day!!

Week 2 and I'm on a roll

Today I went for my week 2 weigh in at Weight Watchers. Iti's ALLLLL GOOODD! I lost another 2.2 pounds, which makes 4/2 in two weeks! Even after a wild fun weekend in San Diego, I pulled it off! When I"m home I drink water like it's going out of style, so I think that might help. Hey, whatever I'm doing, I'm doing right. If I can keep this up I'll meet my personal goal in no time. Pre-Pregnancy clothes, before Mary, in the attic here I come!!
So, I was all stoked after that and went o Kohls to see what I could find to spend my mother's day money on. I need to find some shoes to go with a dress I have to wear to a wedding in 5 weeks, so I went straight to the shoes. I found two pairs that may work on sale. Then I went to the purses. Found a cute Vera Wang purse 1/2 off. Off to the register. I have an extra 15% off coupon for everything, so I'm thinking this is good. So, for two pairs of shoes and a purse it was only $60. Rock on! I've never spent more than $12 on a purse, so I am pretty happy to have a designer purse that was only $23!!
It's starting out to be a good mother's day weekend. We shall see what the rest of the day brings. It's only 12:00 on Saturday and we are now off to a one year old birthday party in this great weather.

Hand Doctor

Today we went to the Pediatric Surgeon to see about Teresa's fingers. He, like everyone else, has not seen a case just like this. He examined her whole body and looked at the x rays we took. He says there is nothing he can see why her fingers would not bend in that one knuckle on all 8 fingers. It most likely has to do with the bone, but since she is still so young and developing he cannot give a reason why. He told us we have to wait 5-10 years to see how things go and what happens. See if it prevents her from doing any daily activities or sports. He does not want to do any surgeries on her since he is not exactly sure what it is. From what his field is, he does not have the answer. He is going to refer us to a Genetics Specialist next. He says they know other thing to look for that he would not that could be the answer to something else. So, now to wait for another referral and to make another apt to see another doctor. Until then we are to do our own physical therapy with her to move her fingers, which we do. Thankfully it is not something she notices or hurts her.

Growing Up

On Sunday, on the way home from San Diego, we stopped at Suzanne and Greg's for Anna's first birthday party. They live in Riverside, so it was so nice it was on our way home from San Diego. It was such a fun afternoon. The sun was out and Mary was able to go in the pool. I went to high school and CCD at church with Suzanne.

THis is Anna eating her cake. She was more interesting in playing with it than eating it. That will change soon.
Anna is such a cutie.

Mary and daddy playing in the pool. She had so much fun playing with the other kids. Such a fun day.

This weekend we had a fun family get away. We went down to San Diego to visit our friends Sal and Steph. Sal is Kevin's friend from high school. They are our good friends. We went down Friday afternoon, as soon as Kevin could get out of work. We arrived just as Teresa started to SCREAM for her bottle.

This is their new dog, Holly. She is a grey hound. The sweetest dog you could ever meet. We loved her and she loved us. The whole time we were there she layed down and slept. Mary was able to love her too. Except one time a little too much when she was picking at her paws while she was asleep. Well, Holly didn't like that too much and snapped at her and left a couple marks on her forehead. Mary was totally brave and never shed a tear. Aunt, Doctor Stephy took great care of her and made her feel so much better. She alive and well.
Uncle Sal gave Mary a Popsicle for being such a great girl while we went to dinner.

Aunt Stephy is the best, in Mary's words. We'd ask her who was better, Sal or Stephy and she'd say Stephy every time. Poor sal. He's her godfather and all. And he ran around with her like a mad man, but Aunt Stephy is still the best in her world. = )

This is Teresa taking a nap on the couch. Bird squacking to her right and mary running around her, and she's asleep like a baby. Awww.

This is Gabrielle (left 4 years old), Mary, and Vincent (right 5 days younger than Mary). These boys are Stephanies's sister's kids. They are the cutest boys. Mary will date one of these boys one day. So we hope. Mary had a gerat time playing with them. It was so much fun to see them playing.
We left about 10 on Sunday to get to a birthday party. We had a geat weekend. Relaxing to have others want to play with the kids. We with we lived closer.

week one

Well, today I went to Weight Watchers to weigh in for my first week. Tomorrow will actually be a week, but we won't be here for me to go weigh in, so I went in today. Well, the weekend didn't start off so well having bbq pizza and lotsa drinks and then to mom's for ribs and munchies. I fought to try to be good for the rest of the week. Well, it paid off!! I lost 2 pounds in the first week. We'll see if I can keep it up, but 2 down and 28 to go! This weekend we're off to San Diego so we'll see how well I can do it and if I gain it back. We shall see. Gotta hve some fun, don't ya think?!
