Sunday morning, bright and early, we left for the wine country for some wine tasting fun. Corie joined us for the adventure. She is a Paso Robles virgin, so we had to break her in. Dad came to pick up the girls at 7 and then we were outa here by 7:30. Our first stop, Tobin James, the first winery you can get to. We got some great tastes and began to feel 'happy'.

Next was off to Penmann. We love going there mostly because they always have great food out to eat while you are drinking wine, and the company. We love Beth and Rosie. They had a couple flies in the room, so Corie was trying to help kill them. Kevin killed one, which got us a free bottle of wine. What a deal.

Next we were off to Christian Lazo for more wine tasting fun.
Then it was off to Rabbit Ridge, where Corie got a little bunny silly.

Then it was back to town to check into the hotel. We were staying at the Paso Robles Inn, right down town. So we could then walk around down town and go to wineries there and eat. Safe walking, and no drinking and driving. Well, we took advantage of that a bit that night. None of us woke up feeling too hot. It's not wise to mix beer, wine, and mai tais. Just as some advice for all of you. But we had fun, from what I remember.
The next day, since we were moving so slow, we headed out late and only planned to go to two wineries. The first one we all looked quite pale. Even the taster felt bad for us. We got the wine down, and then started to feel better.
Corie said we had to go to a new winery we had never been to, since she was on the trip. So, we did. We went to Pear Valley. Two people told Kevin about this place, so we went. What a beautiful place, and good wine. We will definitely go back and bring people with us.

Then we were feeling much better and thought another winery was in the works. We had to go to the campground first to get a coupon for the next winery. We stay at the campground when we come in September and November, for Thanksgiving. So, we got our coupon and it was off to Sylvester to pick up our box wine. By this time it was getting to be lunch time. We had only planned on the two wineries so we didn't pack our lunch. Luckily they were selling fresh Paninis, so we ordered three. At this winery there are some old travel trains to look at, so while we were waiting for our food we went and looked around. It was fun to see how people use to travel. Well, I guess you can still travel like this somewhere. (Corie has those pictures so when I get one I'll add it to the blog)
So, we got our Paninis and we were off to JLohr to eat our lunch and our last wine tasting. Then it was back to the hotel to sit by the pool and enjoy the nice day. We had dinner downtown and were in bed early. We all woke up MUCH better the next day. Which was good because we were driving home. And both Kevin and Corie had to go straight to work. And I had to go pick up the girls. SO, it was good we didn't tear it up that night. But it was a super fun trip.
