A Weekend In The Clouds

Thursday we left for a long weekend away in Lake Arrowhead for a high school friend's wedding. We had this planned a whole year ago. Above, are the friends I mainly hung out with my senior year. We all swam on the swim team together. Steve, not in the picture, was the one getting married. They were getting married at Pine ROse Cabins in Arrowhead. So a year ago Kevin and I tried to get a cabin for just the two of us, but NOTHING was available. The only thing open was a 22 person lodge. SO, I email'd all my friends and we decided to get it as a group. Suzanne, in green, has a one year old girl and we have the two girls. We thought we'd make it a family sort of trip. Catherine, Suzanne's sister came to help with Anna, and mom and dad came to help with Mary and Teresa. It all worked out great. The only bummer was that it was cold and foggy all the time but for the brief moment of the wedding, and of course, the day we left.
Mary had a blast, even though it was cold. Papa took her on walks to wear her out.

Then we went down the The Village where all the shops and the lake was at. Mary had a super great time feeding the ducks. It was so cute.

Saturday was the wedding. We woke up and the fog was so thick, it was raining. What a way to begin your wedding day. The wedding was planned to be outside, no other options. We were all worried for them, but for us too who would have to be outside for this event. Luckily as the day went on the clouds started to go away and let the sun come out. The sun came out just long enough for the wedding to happen and get some pictures in. It was like magic how perfect that happened. Then when all that was over and dancing began the fog started to roll back in. So we had to dance harder and drink more. We had a super time
