Ok, so first get your mind outa the gutter! = )~ Last night we were at my mom's sitting outside. Teresa was fussing a little, her tired fussy cry. She finally found her thumb. We were watching her and all of a sudden she layed back and her eyes rolled back into her head and then closed. Mom and I laughed. We called it her finding her 'G Spot'. SHe was just so relaxed and so she finally fell asleep. It was so cute/funny. So, of course, I had to take a picture of this and post the explanation. haha A whole new meaning.

Friday night was girls night out with all my mommy friends. Tonight's adventure was Paint A Dream. This is a place where you pick a pottery item and paint it. Then on 'Ladies Night' they bring in food and have some sort of drink. Tonight's theme was 'Margaritas' and Mexican Food. I say it was 'Margaritas' because it tasted like 90% mix, but the food was good. I chose a pottery wine glass to paint, naturally. Others painted things for their kids. Me? I think about myself, not them. Oh well! I have not picked up my item yet, but we shall see how it turns out. I'm sure I'll take a picture of it and post my master piece.

Jumping The Gun
Well, Sunday we had decided to put the girls in the same room since Teresa was sleeping through the night. Well, the first night was great. The second night she made some noise and didn't wake Mary up. The third night she was up and fussy at 5:30 and woke Mary up and then I had two kids up and not going back to sleep. SOOOOO I decided to keep my sanity we had to move Teresa back into the office. She had grown out of the bassinet, so we had to move the pack n play in there. We have 3 pack n plays, thanks to all our friends and kids all grown up. So, we moved things around and put the bed in there. Last night she slept great in there, until almost 6:30 AND Mary wasn't up early either. SOOOO, we shall wait a bit longer before we keep them both in the same room. If/when we have guests over who need the bed in Teresa's room, then we'll put them together for a night or so. It all seemed too good to be true the first night, and it was. Oh well. Live and learn!

One SIngular Sensation

Growing up Amy and I watched the movie 'A Chorus Line' 10,000 times. Every time we went to Grandma's house we had to watch it. We knew all the lines and all the dances. The play has been touring and was here in LA a while ago. We missed that time, but it was playing out here in our valley at our local theater. SO, it was the last weekend of the showing and I had to go. We were supposed to go down to San Diego to visit some friends, but she ended up sick so we didn't go. So, it was meant to be, I had to see it. I called up mom to make sure they could babysit and we bought tickets. It was our date night.
We went to dinner before hand and then made it to the 8:00 showing at our local city college. It was great! We had a super time. I was dancing in my seat. It was definiatlly one singular senation!
CHUNKY MONKEY
My little chunky monkey can't make it past 3 hours, on the dot, to eat when she has been awake. So, i thought since she's 3 1/2 months old we could try some cereal to eat. Well, let me tell you, it was a hit. At first she wasn't too sure. She gave me this look like 'what the heck are you putting in my mouth mom?'. Then as time went on she was putting her bib in her mouth in between bites because she wanted more. She took a bit to figure out what to do with her tong, but figured it out. And then I'd give her some bottle in between to wash it down and then she was really confused because she had to do something different again. All in all she loved it. She's on the floor right now talking about it to that pretty girl in the mirror. Let's see how long she lasts until the next feeding. Ok, I know this isn't going to help her chunky-ness, but it will help me with buying formula and washing bottles. Yes, it's all about me!Monday, March 23, 2009
sharing
Well, Mary isn't one to share. Typical for a 2 1/2 year old. Well, Teresa has been doing good sleeping through the night. We've had her in a bassinet in the office since she was born. She is now head to toe in it and needs more room. SO, we already had Mary's room set up for the two of them to share. Yesterday I made sure everything was set up so we could try them out together for the night.
Mary goes to bed at 8:30. I give Teresa her last bottle about 9:30 and then put her down. So, I had to creep into the room to lay her down. It went OK, Mary didn't even budge when I went in. Teresa slept through without making a peep. About 6:00 I hear her start to move around. So I'm thinking what's going to happen with Mary. Well, when Mary was alone we'd shut the door all the way. Now that I may have to go in and out, if needed with Teresa, I just propped it closed. Well, Mary noticed that and opened it and came walking to our room. She proceeded to turn on the light, that was kinda bright. Kevin was not ready to get up. I was up already.
SO, tonight we'll have to think of something else with the door. Baby gate or just close it. Probably just close it.
We shall see.
Well, it's morning now and I put Teresa down for a nap in her new bed in "Mary's" room, well Mary is NOT happy about it now. We'll see how this goes. OH WELL!!

3 months officially
Well, my baby is officially 3 months old. Such a chunky monkey she is. She has some thunder thighs to be proud of. The only age in your life you can be proud of your thunder thighs. Why is it that is it is cute when you are little, but not so much when you are older. NOT FAIR! Anyway, she continues to grow like a little weed. She gets cuter by the day with her smiles and coos. When she get sin the mood she can really talk to us. It's so cute.
