Saturday Fun

Saturday morning I dropped Kevin and Mary off at Magic Mountain for a fun morning. Teresa and I decided to go shopping. We went to the 99 cent store and had fun there. Then went to Old Navy and had more fun. She was a busy girl making everyone smile with all her cute smiles.

Mary wasn't really into the whole Magic Mountain thing this time. Kevin took her on the Log Jammer, since there is not a height requirement. Well, she did NOT like it. Every time they went down a hill or a bump she said "all done Daddy, all done". SO they made it to the end of the ride, but she was not happy about it. Couple more years and she'll be loving it. SO, they went to kiddo land and she did the Thomas the Train roller coaster and Tweety Bird and the carousel. Then they were done by 12:30. So, Teresa and I checked out of Old Navy and went and picked them up.

That night Corie came over for dinner. We like when Corie comes for dinner. Especially when she brings Bailey, her doggie. This was the first time Teresa had been around Bailey. She didn't really care for him. But Mary loves Bailey.

Today at Weight Watchers I hit my 5% mark! Ok, that's only 11 pounds, but it's a mile stone for now. I'm on my way.
There are now a group of us girls doing this together, which helps. I started working on it with Jamie. We met in our walking group I was in. I still hang out with some of the other girls from the walking group as well. Four of us went to dinner one night and Jamie and I talked the other two into joining with us. So now all four of us are doing it together. It helps to work on it as a group. Makes it more fun to share stories and tips. We all seem to go on different days to the meetings but we are still doing it together. Jamie met me at the meeting today, which was nice. She was able to share in my celebration. They recognize and celebrate when you lose weight and hit any sort of mile stone, which makes you feel good about yourself. It's a big motivation. I love going to my meetings. It's like my other family. The leader is like my other mom coaching me.
SO, now on to less than a week and then off to a weekend of camping eating and drinking. We shall see how that goes. = )

what comes out of her mouth sometimes

Ok, so I just had to make a quick not of this. Last night Mary really wanted to go outside. Kevin just got home and I was busy trying to fix dinner. Kevin has his routine when he gets home and she was putting a dent into it. He changed his clothes, got a glass of wine, and then sat on the couch. Mary was bugging him to go outside. Then she looked at him and said "you can drink wine outside". Well, that got him to go out. HA HA

Friend Fun

Today the girls and I met up with an old friend, Heather, of mine who was in town from back east. I worked with her when I taught preschool at Pinecrest way back in 2000. We have had some fun times together and some silly memories. We got married the same year, 2005. She got pregnant that year, and so did I. She had a girl in April 2006 and I had a girl in July 2006. Her and her husband moved to Michigan two years ago, we stayed here. Last year I turned up pregnant and so did she. I had a girl in December 2008 and she had another girl in April 2009. We are just following each other's foot steps. I think it stops here though. We don't' plan to have anymore kids, but they want to have at least one more. I hope she does not jinx me to end up pregnant.

SO, Mary and Kaitlyn are 2 1/2 months apart and Teresa and Christine are about 3 1/2 months apart.

We met at a park for the girls to play then we went to McDonalds for lunch and more playing. It was a McDonalds Mary has never been to and they had a much bigger play yard and she was not into it and was scared. Kaitlyn was brave and went for it. THEN she got stuck and couldn't get down. Heather was not happy and headed up climbing up there to find her. Well, she could only make it so far. I didn't not get a picture of that, and I"m sure she is glad I didn't. It was kinda silly to watch. BUT, if I had to do it, I would have too. Eventually Kaitlyn came down on her own, but it took some time.

Mary took a good 2 1/2 hour nap after that fun time!

Nearing No Naps

Ugh, I knew this day would come, but not now! Mary is slowly cutting out her naps. I really look forward to my hour or two a day w/out having to worry and chase her around the house. Especially now that Teresa naps at that time too. She has started not wanting to take naps at my mom's house. Usually I can get her to go down here no matter what, but not the last day or two. Now that she can figure out how to get out of her room it is a challenge. So, today I REALLY wanted to work out so I took her to her room and put her down. I then fed Teresa and put her down. Ok, all good, NOT! Mary starts calling me and so I go up to see what's up. She tells me she does not want to sleep and wants to go down stairs. Ok, I tell her she can as long as she lays on the couch and lets me work out. Well I'm sure you can imagine how well that went. I started my work out DVD over again THREE times and lotsa reprimanding and telling her to be quiet I FINALLY got my work out done. AND thankfully Teresa was still asleep. We have a pack-n-play downstairs and I had put her in that to sleep. So, anyway, she finally at 4:00 decided she wants to relax and is tired and lays down on the living room floor. and this is where she decides to take her nap. Hey, wherever it happens, GREAT! It just kinda makes it tougher to get stuff done, but she's napping!

Teresa is happy asleep in her bed. God I love nap time!!!!

Finger Food Fun

The doctor told me I could start giving Teresa finger foods. So I bought some baby snacks. She loves the idea and is trying hard to get them in her mouth. She gets them all wet and then they stick to her. It's pretty funny and cute.

1/3rd Of The Way There!!

I went to weigh in at Weight Watchers today. It was ALL good. I'm 10.6 down! Only 20 more to go! I made it this far in only 8 weeks, so I feel I shall reach my goal. I am going to go celebrate tonight with the girls with Mexican food and Margaritas. Bring it on!!
