Christmas 2011 in review

Instead of doing a separate post for each holiday event, I decided to wait until the end and put it all in one. So here it goes......
First was our Christmas with my grandma down at the facility.

Now it's Christmas eve. The girls were all dressed up and ready to go.

Before we left we tried to get some family pictures. It is not easy, but we tried.

The kids with Nana and Papa

I got all the crazy boys some crazy hair bandannas. here they are modeling them.

Teresa showing off her cute new pj's from Aunt Corie.

And Christmas morning......Santa Came!!! He brought Mary a double jogging stroller and Teresa a baby crib.

Is it time to open the rest yet?????

Aunt Amy showing off the toy she got them. They are cute horse bouncy ball things.

Mary and Aunt Amy having a race!

Ok, here is our loot, now can I rip it all open????

I got some cute clothes!

BARBIE!!!

I LOVE my little cousin Lincoln. He's so super cute!

Uncle Matt got a cool new toy that sucks and blows.

The fun is over. Matt taking a nap, with Lincoln in the background in his swing taking a nap too.

Mary loves her new toys. Giving her bouncy horse and ride in her stroller.

Christmas afternoon was at Kevin's sister's house. We got to meet the newest member of the family. Little Jim Vernon Hecker IV. He is quiet adorable.

Proud Great Grandma Elsie.

It was a fun FUN Christmas. The girls are at a fun age.

They really had fun, as you can see. Both girls passed OUT on the way home from all the fun.

Teresa turns a big 3

Friday before Teresa's birthday we had a play date with her friends. She was not feeling great, but she was trying to have fun.
Her hair was quite wild from rubbing her head, but she didn't care.

Most of the party this is what she was doing. But hey, 'it's my party and I'll sleep if I want to'

Saturday was her actual birthday. She was feeling better, but we stayed home all day in our pj's to get well.

She is a pro at blowing the candle out

and licking the frosting off things

Daddy put some on her nose to be silly.

She got a new big girl bike with training wheels. Time to put it together.

And here we are ready to go!

Mary had to try it out as well.

It was a fun birthday even though no one felt great. She's now three and ready to be big like her sister.

Magical Surprise

I have been planning this surprise for Mary for about a month. My three girlfriends, that all our kids play together, have Disney passes. They all go to Disneyland together all the time. They keep wanting us to go, but we do not have passes. SO, one of the girl's husband works for Disney and could get me and one kid in FREE!! So, I finally found a day we could go. All of us were going to go together!!
So, Friday morning I get Mary ready for school. I get everything packed for Disneyland and sneak it into the car. We head out. I tell her that I have a doctor apt after I drop her off. We pass school.
Mary- "oh well, you have to take me to your doctor appointment."
Me- "No, I'm not going to an appointment"
Mary- "then what are you doing?"
(this is where it gets really cute)
Me- "If you could not go to school and do anything, what would it be?"
Mary- "Stay home and do something cool with you, daddy, and Teresa"
Me- "well that is not going to happen, but how about if we go to Disneyland?"
Mary- "We need to go home and get Teresa and Daddy"
Me- "Teresa and daddy are not going with us. We are going with all of our friends"
Mary- "REALLY? REALLY? ALL DAY?? WITH OUR FRIENDS?????!!!!!!!"
The look on her face was priceless. It was so super cute. One of those moments I wish I could bottle and re-live over and over.
So, we went and met one of our friends we were to carpool with. Then we were off to meet the others to caravan with. Mary was super excited!!!
So, here is the group of 5 kids.
Brooke and Mary so excited to get in the park!

This was in the first attraction. A cute live stage show.

Mary and Gabriella. Brooke then decided she did not want to be in any pictures.

This was so cute. All 5 kids could fit in the sea shell for the Little Mermaid ride.

At lunch there was music playing. They were dancing.

Mary was on the go and ready for more fun!

Parade time! We had front row seats for the Christmas parade.

Some mommy beer time! We needed a little something to keep our sanity going.

Carousel time

Brooke and Michelle

IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!

As you can see, the surprise went over REALLY well! We had a super fun day. The weather was perfect. Not too hot, and not too cool. It got cold as the sun went down, but it was still perfect. We had so much fun with our good friends. Thanks all for the fun time!! Can't wait to do it again!
