Boo At The Zoo

This was our first year going to Boo at the Zoo. It was fun. Since we our zoo members, we got in early, and got to beat the crowd.
Mary and Teresa are cats this year. Mary wore the mask, for a little while. Teresa would not. So they were kids in black clothes with tails, and meowing. It was cute.

Nana and Mary had a fun time walking around together.

The girls had to have squished pennies. Teresa had fun rolling the arm around to squish it.

mmmmm candy

I love the apes the most, she says~

And this is how the stroller configurations went throughout the day. It started with Mary in front...........

Then we went to Mary in the back all curled up like a pretzel.

Then she decided to lay down and put her legs out the side.
It was a funny picture from the front. Teresa looked like she had four legs. She was not happy out it.

Kids hyped on candy. They were running up and down those stairs a million times.

Look at my own jack-o-lantern smile!!!

It was af un day at the zoo. The kids wore themselves out. It was the first time in a LONG time mary asked when it was bed time. She was passed out hard and slept in a bit. It was awesome. I think we need to do zoo days more often! Good thing we have a pass.

Big Bike Girl

I have to say, this was one proud moment in my life. I am so proud of my Mary for getting on her bike, without training wheels, and taking off. It was such an awesome moment.

She woke up today and asked to take her training wheels off and learn how to ride. So, Kevin did. He took her down to the park and go her on and told her to try. She tried and off she went. It's was AWESOME! She is such a big girl.

Rafael Michael Bausone

Sunday we finally got to meet Rafael Michael Bausone, Sal and Stephanie's little boy. He's so adorable. He is a week older than my sisters baby.
The girls had a fun time holding him and looking at him.

Stephanie looks great. A little tired, but that's motherhood of an infant!

I loved holding that little ham. He is a ham, at 12 pounds.

Boys weekend away

Last weekend Kevin went to Vegas with the boys and left us girls to fen for ourselves. This tradition started 4 years ago. Kevin and his brother take their dad to Vegas for his birthday. My dad tags along as well. They leave us alone for three nights. Well, we made the best of it and kept ourselves busy. My mom helped out a lot too.
One day Mary and I went to get a pedicure while Teresa stayed with Nana. This was Mary's first pedicure. She loved it.

Don, Kevin's dad, used to work at the atomic test site in Vegas. There is now a museum about the atomic testing. They took him there to see it. As a birthday gift, Kevin and his siblings got him an engraved brick to recognize him. They have a walkway with survivors names.

They showed him where his brick will be laid in the walkway.

It was a fun weekend for the guys, as usual. No one really won, but they still had fun. The girls and I are happy to have Kevin back! Happy 83rd Birthday Don!!

Our First Tooth Lost!

Mary has lost her first tooth!! It's been loose for a few weeks. This morning it was pretty loose and she played with it for a bit and about an hour later it was out! She is pretty proud of herself. We will see what the tooth fairy bring her tonight!
The tooth is so tiny.

I give a lot of credit to my husband for this one.
Most people I know can, will, be jealous of this one. This is our nice and clean garage. Kevin spent all day getting it organized and clean. We have always parked both cars in the garage, but now we really can w/out a problem!! Thank you babe!!
-there is a chair and the bike there because we were sitting out and enjoying the nice summer night!!

Big Girl Bedroom

Mary and Teresa have a new bed in their room. Teresa was started to outgrow her toddler bed. A good friend of ours passed down this bed before Mary was even born. My parents have been storing it for us. We finally pulled it out and put it up. The girls LOVE IT!
Mary sleeps up top in a twin and Teresa now sleeps in Mary's old bed, full size, below.
Sitting and reading bed time stories on Teresa's bed.

Teresa is so happy to have her own big bed now

It was an OK night. They were all excited and played in the bed all day. That night they didn't really want to go to bed. A little new and scary. I had to lay with Teresa until they fell asleep. They did stay in their all night, thankfully. And they woke up saying it was all good! YIPEEE!!
