7 months

Teresa turned 7 months on Friday. WOW! Time is going by so quickly this time around. She has officially started to sit on her own. That is so nice. I can put her on the floor with some toys and she's happy. She will eventually fall over and then fuss due to being on her tummy. BUT we have learned to Army Crawl. She can scoot her way across the floor. Mary is not too happy with this, as Teresa makes her way to whatever she is doing. We will see what happens when she masters the real thing of crawling. We talk all the time, well babble. It's so darn cute all the stuff she does now. Oh and we're into touching everything we can get our hands on. And when we eat she will do a kissy face with her mouth. For some reason only when she eats, but it's so darn cute. Such a doll she is.

Mary and her Cousins

Monday night Kevin brought home his two nieces, Brianna and Stephanie. Brianna is almost 14 and Stephanie is 12. They live in Temecula but were out here for a while going between family for a couple weeks. Mary loves her cousins. They were such a big help with the girls for me. I was able to get some work done around the house. I sure wish they lived closer.

Brianna and Stephanie are both adopted, but Brie and Mary co0uld totally be sisters. It's funny how she looks like us but not related.

Growing Mary

Mary had her 3 year check up yesturday. She is growing like a weed. 32 pounds and 38 inches tall. That is both in the 75%.

We are officially Sitting!!

It is official. Teresa can now sit on her own!! Thank God!! I love when I can place her somewhere and she can see what's going on and touch things. She can keep herself up for a good while. Then she'll fall over and roll on to her tummy and continue to play, or then fuss until I sit her back up.

Fun on the 4th

This 4th Of July we went camping at a house in Merced. Mom and dad joined us as well. Corie's Aunt and Uncles house. This was our 'camp spot' in their back yard. Behind that was this lake they built with ducks and fish and an island. It was so cool
This was Fred the duck (the white one). He knew his name too. When you yelled out Fred he'd look over at you. It was too funny.
Mary and Teresa had a ball in the pool. Mary has not gotten to really swim around so she was in heaven. When I ask her waht was her favorite part she will say the pool. They both even have little tans. It's so cute.
There were a bunch of us there. The girls were in heaven with all the attention. Now that we are home they are kinda bored with just me all day. They even had this cool fire pit int he back so we could roast marshmallows. Another thing Mary loves to do.
Mary made a new friend as well. Julianna was just about to turn 5. The two of them had fun playing together, when they were not fighting over a pool toy. It was nice to have another kid there to entertain her.

On the actual 4th we had a parade around the lake and we got fireworks to put off on the island. We all sat around the lake to watch them. Fireworks on your own in California are not exciting. You can't buy the ones that go up in the air. All they are are the cone ones that blow out stuff. It got old and boring, but Mary liked it.
We did not have an actual birthday party for Mary this year. I think this may be the last year we can get away with this. On Sunday we had a birthday cake for her and sang. She was happy with that. My goofy 3 year old.

We had so much fun. I can't wait until next year!!!

One Point Less

Today I went and weighed in early at Weight Watchers. We will be gone this weekend, so I wanted to know where I started before I left. Well I am now below the big number that scares me, but makes me happy that I'm below it. It's nice to see the numbers start with a 1. BUT, because I'm down to a new 'decade' I loose a point to eat. There comes a bad with the good with Weight Watchers. BUT, I'm just happy it works! Now we shall see whta a weekend of camping does for me next week. But I can go feeling good about myself!

Baby #1 Is Growing Up

Today Mary Rose turns 3, yes THREE! I can't believe it has been that long. She is growing into quite the little girl lately. She has her own opinions for sure. She weighs in at only 31 pounds, just 12 more than her sister. She stands tall at 37 1/2 inches tall, exactly 10 inches more than her sister. We know how to count to 10, and then she starts counting by two's for some reason . We are working on that on one. She knows her colors, when she wants to. At stop lights she tells me when to go or stop. We know how to open and close doors, which really stinks for nap time now. Her favorite time is bath time with lots of bubbles. There is so much more, but I'd bore you. She's just such a big girl.
We also realized that July 2, 2004 was the day Kevin proposed to me. Who knew two years later we'd have a little girl that day too. Funny how things connect.
