Arn't those the cutest buns you've ever seen?? We were outside playing before the sun got too hot and I decided to put the sprinkler on the dead grass spots. Mary then decided she wanted to get naked and play. Being the good mom, I let her. She ran around and got wet. I couldn't help but take a picture of those adorable buns. She'll hate me when she's a teenager, but OH WELL!

If only we could keep these cute buns

It's too light out
Ok, I LOVE this time of year. Days are super long. BUT, it really stinks when you have a kid. Mary's bed time is 8:00, well, there's still some light out at that time. Then, it starts to get light at about 5:30 in the morning, so she's getting up earlier and going to bed later. And who gets to get up when she makes noise???? MOM, not dad. Lucky me! Oh well, I just plug along with my eyes half open.

my little ham
So, she truly has my silly genes. I think I make this face when the camera comes out when I'm drinking. And she can do this w/out any alcohol in her system. What will happen when she can drink????We had gone to dinner with my parents at El Presidente. She is beginning her terrible 2's when we are out in public. She does not like to sit still or be quiet. It's quite annoying. We can get her to eat and once that's done we can't relax. Hopefully this won't last too too long. It's all part of growing up. And I get to do it all over again with another one! Well, I'm sure I'll be a pro by then. HA HA!

Beach Day

Sunday we decided to go to the beach with mom and dad (Nana and Papa). Kevin offered to stay home with Mary to give me a day of sun w/out having to chase her, but I felt bad and took them along. It was a beautiful day. About 68, but the sun was out to make it warmer. Mary was a good girl and had a blast. She loved the water, even though it was freezing. And she and grandma played in the and and buried each other's feet. Then she wanted to chase the seagulls. Well, that meant someone had to chase Mary. Oh well, we had fun. She enjoyed it much more than even two months ago in Mexico. She is changing so fast. I can't imagine what she'll be like in 6 months when the next one arrives. Hopefully helpful to mommy and daddy. Damn It!
Ok, I really try to watch my words and am always telling Kevin to do the same. I really don't think I've said this around her. This morning, out of the blue, she just stood there and said "damn it". Over and Over and Over again. We tried not to laugh and kept telling her not to say it. So, I"m not sure if she learned that from us or maybe at grandma's. But, we shall keep an eye and ear on this one and try to fix it. I guess it's better than some of the other words out there she could have said.

Pay Backs are HELL
Well, today I got paid back for something I did to my mom when I was little. Mary woke up from her nap and was not yelling out for me or anything, so I let her sit and play for a while. Kevin came in and saw she was standing up. (we have a video monitor and can watch her) So, he decided to go upstairs and get her for me. He gets up there and I hear him yell my name. I go up there and half way up the stairs I can SMELL why he is calling me. Yes, she has played in her poopy diaper in her crib. She must have done this before her nap since it was all crusted onto her hands and railings. We tried to wipe it off before we undressed her, but it was too crusted on. So, we just threw her in the bath. She must have wanted it all on her because she just cried as we washed it off. But, she is clean now and her room smells. What fun that was. I wonder if the next one will do this as well. Most likely!
